#heyilovethisholiday RUBBER ERASER DAY

It's interesting how even the smallest things in life get to have a special day. Well, that's the goal: to find all the fun little things to celebrate about just like the rubber eraser

We all grew up having an eraser as a school necessity. It's as important as having a pencil and your ID when you go to school. Remember these?

Admit it, this was one of your favorite things to do with your white eraser. I remember writing names, codes, dates, etc. I'm sure at one point of your life you wrote the name or the initials of your crush on your eraser, hahaha!

But anyway, even if we all shift to pens, tablets, smartphones, or computers, there will always be a need for an eraser. It's amazing how many cool options we have today. Just go to any bookstore, you're bound to find an interesting eraser.

In my recent trip to Germany, I attended the Creativeworld at the Messe Frankfurt.

On my way up to Creativeworld!

There were a lot of crafty and novelty things to see there (which I will still blog about soon).  Anyway, I was slowly walking  and looking from left to right when an Asian lady sweetly smiled to me and greeted me Hello. I smiled back, looked at her booth and immediately said. "Wow, you have such cool stuff! Can enter and take some photos?"  I'm so glad I had the courage to ask that or else I would have missed the chance to see all these cute things.

I thought these were candy!!!

Iwako is a Japanese company that designs and manufactures high quality erasers sold and shipped all around the world. They also have other products such as plastic pencil cases, point protectors for pencils, plastic clips, rulers, and pencil sharpeners. When you check their website, you'll be welcomed by a very intriguing question.
"WHY ARE THERE ONLY RECTANGULAR ERASERS?"

Think about it... they have a very big point!  Most cool concepts come from the simplest questions so Congratulations Iwako for creating a solution to our plain and boring rubber erasers. You've created fun and quality products that are just extraordinary. We're now big fans!

HAPPY RUBBER ERASER EVERYONE!  May your days be as happy and cute as these charming Iwako Erasers :) For more information on Iwako and their wonderful collections, please visit their website: http://www.iwako.com/IWAKO/

A Country Backyard Bash for Baby Nicholas

Our love for parties and gatherings led us to something groundbreaking; we did our first styling job and it was awesome!!!!! I guess things unfold everyday and new ideas and opportunities pop out like a cartoon light bulb.

Our dear friend, Angel Santos-Harris just had a baby last April 12 (Congratulations my dear!!!!) and we'd like to share her memorable baby shower. We are just delighted to be given the chance to work our magic and throw her this party. Thank you Angel for trusting to do this for you and your family.

Baby Shower meeting with Angel and excited "Lala" (Grandma)Sari Santos
at the Charming Vanilla Cupcake Bakery.

Planning and conceptualizing the shower was fun. We took note of the littlest things that we could associate with the Harris Family. But basically, since her husband Dean has a farm in Australia, we immediately pitched a rustic barnyard- backyard concept. It greatly helped that our venue and caterer 14 Four Cafe, suggested it to be a baby-Q bash; brilliant concept for a Sunday afternoon barbecue.

Party Preparations

Anyway, let us share our labor of love, our first try in party styling. We certainly have a long way to go but our passion for holidays and fun celebrations inspires us to explore all possibilities.  Special shout out to our good friend, the talented Cathy Ang; thanks for all your support and these super amazing photos! We can't wait to work with you again.

#heyilovethisholiday EMPANADA DAY

April 8 is Empanda Day ( I guess most of you don't know this but it is real folks!). We love finding interesting things to celebrate about thus we decided to find good Empanada in the Metro. We've been hearing alot about Empanada Mas so we decided to try it.

We were just so excited to taste everything. We ordered all the Empanada flavors: Chicken, Tuna, Pork, Chorizo, Ham & Cheese Jalapeno, and my favorite... Spinach.

My Sister Angel has been drooling to try all these yummy goodies.

For P30 per Empanada, you can already get a full satisfying meal.

Angel's Choice: Pork Empanada
 (
Although she wants a little more salt)

My Choice: Spinach Empanada (Hurray for real Spinach!!!)

We also tried their Empanaditas which were just so adorable. These bite sized delights comes in 6 flavors: Chocolate, Peanut Butter, Bacon Cream cheese with Jalapeno (it had a good kick), Cheese (too bad we didn't get to try this), and Cream cheese & Chives (OUR FAVORITE!!!)

Hello Sunshine, Hello April!

When I think of April, I think of fun and sunshine. This Spring-Summer month is just full of excitement. We started it with the always crazy April fools day (April 1) and the blessed and joyous Easter (April 5). But we have so much to celebrate about this April. Here's a list of some cool April Holidays that we bet you have not heard of.

On this day, we rejoice and celebrate one of the yummiest stuffed bread in the planet invented by the  Spanish and the Portuguese.

According to Cookthink.com, Empanadas are baked or fried turnovers that are made with pastry dough and are stuffed with endless combinations of meat and/or vegetables or even fruits. Empanadas are usually shaped like half-moons and range in size from bite-sized to family-sized."

APRIL 10 SIBLING DAY
Meet my Siblings, my brother Andro and my sisters Angel and Thea.

Having a brother or a sister will always be a blessing and having a day for this is indeed a joy! It was said to be created by Claudia Evart after losing both her sisters at an early age.

They say that siblings are your immediate best friends. I say yes to this! Your sibling/s, apart from your parents would know you better than anyone else. Now this calls for "Sibling Bonding!" have coffee or dinner, watch a movie all together, make sure you spend this Friday with your brothers and sisters.

APRIL 13 SCRABBLE DAY

APRIL 17  CHEESE BALL DAY

A Cheese ball can be....

(1) that ball of cheese normally served during parties and cocktails or,
Fried Mozerella Cheese Balls by Chef Ron Lock

(2) those finger licking small corn puffs with cheese powder that are so addicting.
